Rose has 3-shot lead at Travelers Championship

06/26/2010 - Cromwell, CT (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Chasing his second straight win, Justin Rose will carry a three-shot lead into the final round of the Travelers Championship after carding a two-under 68 in the third round on Saturday.

In his last start three weeks ago, Rose captured the Memorial Tournament for his first career PGA Tour victory. Despite that win, he didn't qualify for the U.S. Open and took a two-week break instead.

It's paid off, as Rose has carded three rounds of 68 or better to finish 54 holes on the TPC River Highlands course with a 16-under 194, just one shot off the three-round scoring record.

Ben Curtis holed a 43-foot birdie putt at the 18th to punctuate a 64 and draw within three at 13-under 197. The 2003 British Open champion was alone in second place, two shots in front of Vaughn Taylor (67).

Another shot further back was U.S. Ryder Cup captain Corey Pavin, who carded a 69 to lead a seven-way tie at 10-under 200 that also included Ricky Barnes (64) and Bubba Watson (67).
