Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - The Nashville Predators placed forward Martin Erat on injured reserve Thursday with an upper body issue. The move is retroactive to October 8. The 30-year-old did not record a point in his lone appearance this year, a 3-2 win over Columbus last Friday in the club's season opener. Having begun his 10th NHL season, all with the Preds, Erat has compiled 140 goals and 402 points in 617 contests.
